my apologies for not updating.

been really really busy for the past few weeks with work, canoeing and gatherings.
hectic week, and it all felt like a long battle to me.
PHEW!

in a nutshell,
things werent going well for quite some time.
its been pretty hard for me to put things down and all the neverending pressure pressing on me, i thought i was going to go crazy anytime soon man!
ive been grumpy, crazy, short tempered and everything bad you could think of.
and im sorry, but i really cant help it.
i thought, i just need a break!!

i wish im living in some farm house far away from the city...
with a big green field decorated with pretty sunflowers right ahead of my doorstep.
how good would it be if you could hear all the cheerful laughter of little kids playing out there on that big wooden swing..
..and having the best view of the stars hanging in the sky every night.
how wonderful =/
but back in reality, its just so different.

nevertheless, the past few weeks were pretty eventful;

-GIRLS NIGHT OUT, 2nd march @ town-
life is never dull with this group of girlfriends by my side :)
i miss those days where we were had more.
thou we hardly get to meet out like that cos of our packed schedule,
but whenever we get together, i feel close to them.

remember the days where we hang out at the canteen till late hour after school?
that cramp macdonald corner where we used to slack at?
all the instant noodles that we used to cook?

im starting to miss those days...

-LEGS AND PADDLES, 12th march @ kallang basin-
it was my first LAP race and indeed a great experience!
as i said, its my very first competition with goh.
supposed to take mixed doubles, but we merged with ken & junsheng to form a mixed team instead on the very day itself.
goh finished the long and tiring 5km run coming in 3rd when me and junsheng took over to paddle and overtook the 2nd position. the last leg of the race was completed by ken as he maintained and finished 2nd in our category.
thanks a million guys, its been great racing with you guys.
at the end of the day, we earned a trophy and $100 tyr voucher! : ) : )

after so long, finally something to mark my 1st race with goh.. : ) : )

im happy, really.. but when can i ever compete with cher & sis? i'll wait.

-MR500, 18&19 march @ seletar reservoir-
the first sprinting competition that i didnt have any signs of excitement and fear at all.
was it because i aint well prepared? or is it because i didnt put in much hope for it?
i ponder.

my day started off pretty bad with my bloody $16 cab fare to the competition ground.
that meanie cabbie made big rounds and took me to the wrong places again and again.
first race of the day, im sorry but i guess i really disappointed my team mates with a 2nd placing in heats.
i wish i had given a little bit more.. but to think back, i guess i've nothing left to give anymore at that moment.
didnt get into finals because of my timing with the other 3 heats.
before the finals result was out, i was in dilemma;
i thought, i would be disappointed not to be in finals, the fact that ive clinched the 2nd place,
but at the same time, i hope i didnt. cos i didnt feel like rowing and competing again.

the rest of my team mates did well.
though none of us got into finals, but it was indeed a great experience for most of them as it was their first sprinting race apart from all the marathon races months back.

i look at ntu and nus sprinters and i look at myself,
im still so far from it..
i dont know whats my vision ahead.
i had the wrong mindset since the start of everything.
till now, i dont know if ive already gotten it right.

at least we spoke out that day, something that ive been longing for...

-DRAGONBOAT REGETTA, 23rd march @ kallang basin-
after so long, finally hopped into a dragonboat to row again!
kinda miss the times where we did dragonboat together back then.

this db regetta is like an annual "sports day" for ngee ann.
scf was filled to its brim with lecturers, students from various departments and ccas all geared up to row!
it was kinda fun, and definitely worth a day off from work.
the canoeing club proudly swept off both 1st and 2nd placing in the students' category.
it was really enjoyable and i love my team truckloads esp the 6 girls who added colours to my dull canoeing days!

and today...
a happy happy day! : ) : )

like a typical sunday, its training day.
since NCC, i havent been seeing so many Ks training together.
..and my heart goes jumping up and down whenever i think of next week's race.
gah.

shopped and got 2 tops from topshop.
got a nalgene and diary for sis.
a pressie for buddy.
one dress.
2 sweaters.
chocolate fondue & ice cream waffle!!
rented 9 vcds.
dinner with family.
and yeaps, my new friend..
